The research was conducted using a doctrinal research method using text books, government policies, journals, commission reports, Acts of Parliament and International Treaties. ft seems to be relevant to policy makers, policy implementers and future researchers. The findings of the study found out that although there are many national Statutes governing employment contract in Uganda like the 1995 Constitution of the Republic of Uganda. the Employment Act and other laws, employers are still dismissing their employees unfairly due to factors like discrimination for example, when employees register for any trade union in order to be helped to get their rights from their employers, the employers tend to take It negatively hence terminate workers contracts unfairly. Employees under employment contract In Uganda go through challenges which are economic, political, social and emotional in nature. These are therefore attributed to the fact that Employment termination becomes wrongful termination under these narrow circumstances. hence the study concluded that in case an employee who is fired is angry, unhappy and looking for someone to blame when his or her employment ends, it is therefore recommended that employees experiencing wrongful termination who believe they were unjustly fired or laid off may have the right to file a wrongful termination claim and an experienced wrongful termination lal4yer can help you file your claim.
